SEATTLEVERSUS @ PREPPY’S 7/3/09
Transformers 2 is a terrible movie.
Things of note that occurred at Preppy’s: Dozens of Team Northwest shirts being distributed, The first BlazBlue tournament, Scrubbydan beasting on everyone in sight during the SFIV tournament, and Pablo drooling copiously on himself and others.
Truly, the last Preppy’s before EVO2009 had something for everyone.
The Street Fighter 4 tournament had another strong turnout, with Scrubbydan coming out of his brief retirement to continue his reign of terror over the Northwest. No matter what’s occurred in the past, the fact is, the guy has won every SFIV tournament he’s entered here, including this night, where he went 3-1, 4-0 against Cole in the winners finals and grand finals. God damn. Guess that’s why he anchors the 5v5, huh?
Downstairs became the most cracking dungeon yet seen at Zach’s with a whopping three setups in three rooms, two devoted to BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, which was released on consoles earlier in the week. 31 brave souls stepped up to mash the drive button as hard as possible in order to achieve TOTAL VICTORY in the inaugural tournament . In end, Trace “Bumfights” Prewitt’s V-13 escaped some epic corner rushdown pressure from Magister’s Rachel and took home the title of Seattle BlazBlue Supreme Grand Champion and the princely tournament pot of $0.00
As usual, Deezo has posted the top 8 results with his commentary on the customary Shoryuken.com thread. Thanks to Zach for continuing to be our gracious host, and to everyone for showing up to play.

Hell fuckin’ yeah. Definitely a worthy preppopolis before Evo. Am glad to have fought all my worst matchups. Good practice. Pablo was the highlight of the night, he hardbodied himself.
